USD 250 Education Foundation Awards
Scholarships and Mini-Grants
The USD 250 Foundation awarded $8,000 in scholarships and grants Tuesday, May 10th at Pittsburg High School Auditorium. Ten students received a total of $6,500 and four schools each were given $375.
Three students received scholarships in the amount of $1000
Seven students were recipients of $500 Scholarships
Four schools received $375 mini-grants as follows:
George Nettels Elementary received a grant to buy books for classroom libraries.
Meadowlark Elementary received money to buy children's encyclopedias for its library.
Westside Elementary received a contribution for its school-sponsored parent involvement nights
Lakeside Elementary money to assist with Pittsburg Youth Chorale Program materials.
