Mid way in the second year of 7th and 8th grade interscholastic wrestling season PCMS wrestlers brought home a first place finish.
Coaches Jon Bishop and Tom Zerr have been very pleased with the aggressive wrestling of the team.
This is the first ever team trophy as they narrowly missed a third place at last weeks 14 team Columbus tourney by one point.
Nine teams competed at the Roosevelt Middle School Invitational round robin tournament held Saturday at Caney Valley Middle School.
Pittsburg finished with 213 points, Independence – 200, Columbus –176, Chanute – 162, other teams competing were Eureka, Cherryvale, Coffeyville and Parsons.
The Dragons will wrestle again after Thanksgiving with duals and a tournament at Parsons and Chanute.
