Indicator 1
The student has been introduced to and/or had experiences in identifying
by sight a quarter note and a quarter rest.
Indicator 2
The student has been introduced to and/or had experiences in using
iconic notation to read simply rhythms.(eg., Kodaly syllables, numbers,
lines, iconic symbols, or solfege) to read simple pitch and rhythm
notation in songs.
Benchmark 2
Analyzing and evaluating music and music performances.

The student has been introduced to and/or had experiences in identifying
the sounds of a variety of instruments, as well as children's voices
and male and female adult voices.
