Indicator 1

The student will describe why materials are chosen on the basis of their properties.

The student will operate a saber saw. a. Remove and replace blade and make adjustments.

The student will operate a drill. a. Remove and replace drill bits. b. Drill and bore holes through stock. c. Drill and bore holes to specified depth. d. Drill pilot hole.

Indicator 8

The student will operate a power screwdriver. a. Remove and replace bits and make adjustments. b. Drive screws.

Indicator 9

The student will operate a sander. a. Remove and replace abrasive and make adjustments. b. Sand a surface with a finishing sander.

Indicator 10

The student will operate a tablesaw. a. Inspect and clean a table saw. b. Remove and replace table saw blades. c. Lay out and make a rip cut.

Indicator 11

The student will operate a drill and drill press. a. Inspect and clean drill and drill press. b. Remove and replace cutting tool and adjust table and stops. c. Drill and bore holes in stock.

Indicator 12

The student will operate a power miter saw. a. Remove and replace blade. b. Crosscut to length. c. Cut miters.
