Indicator 1
The student will describe the basic structures and functions
of cells, tissues,
organs, and systems as they relate to homeostasis.
Indicator 2
The student will compare relationships among cells, tissues,
organs and
systems.
Indicator 3
The student will explain body planes, directional terms,
quadrants, and cavities.
Indicator 4
The student will analyze the interdependence of the body
systems as they relate
to wellness, disease, disorders, therapies, and care/rehabilitation. Note:
for
each of the following body systems the learner should be able to accomplish
the
enabling objects; Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscular, Circulatory, Lymphatic,
Nervous, Sensory, Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary, Endocrine, and Reproductive
- Describe the basic structure and function.

Diseases and disorders
Indicator 1
The student will compare selected diseases/disorders including
respective
classifications(s), causes, diagnoses, therapies, and care/rehabilitation to
include biotechnological applications.
Indicator 2
The student will analyze methods to control the spread
of pathogenic
microorganisms.
Indicator 3
The student will analyze body system changes in light of
diseases, disorders and
wellness.
Indicator 4
The student will compare the aging process among the body
systems.

Standard 2 Communication:
Health care workers will know the various
methods of giving
and obtaining information. They will communicate effectively, both orally and
in
writing.
