To prepare students for entry level or additional education in the business industry.

Benchmark 1

Desktop Publishing (DTP) Basics

Indicator 1

The student will identify major components of DTP program (Quark/InDesign).

Indicator 2

The student will identify the benefits of DTP and a quality DTP work environment.

Indicator 3

The student will list factors to consider in selecting a DTP system.

Indicator 4

The student will identify documents that are appropriate for DTP.

Indicator 5

The student will know the basic functions and use of a mouse/pen pointing device.

Indicator 6

The student will create form of text for fliers, advertisements and/or copy.

Indicator 7

The student will demonstrate good sentence structure.

The student will demonstrate proficiency in the use of punctuation and capitalization.
