As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to design
and practice ways that are appropriate for helping improve or learn activities

Concepts:
A physically educated student applies
movement concepts and principles to the learning and development of motor
skills.
Benchmark 1
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to apply
biomechanical concepts and principles to analyze and improve performance.
Benchmark 2
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to describe
and demonstrate the significance of some basic physiological principles
to the development of personal fitness plan.
Benchmark 3
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to analyze
and compare health and fitness benefits derived from various physical
activities.
Benchmark 4
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to evaluate and select ways to improve performance.
Benchmark 5
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to analyze
ways to maintain and improve force production and absorption, as well
as stability and balance.

in health-enhancing activities that can be pursued in the community.

As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to identify
personal behaviors that support a healthy lifestyle and participate regularly
in physical activity that contributes to attainment and maintenance of
personal activity goals.

Fitness:

program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to self-test
personal fitness status related to cardiovascular endurance, muscular
strength and endurance, flexibility body composition.
Benchmark 2
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to develop
and implement a personal fitness program that relates to total wellness.
Benchmark 3
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to participate
in a variety of physical activities appropriate for enhancing physical
fitness.

As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to meet
personal fitness goals after a period of training.
Benchmark 5
As a result of participating in a quality physical education

a "good play" from an opponent during competition.

As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to listen
to all sides before taking action in conflict situations.
Benchmark 3
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to set personal
goals for activity and work toward their achievement.
Benchmark 4
As a result of participating in a quality physical education
program, it is reasonable to expect the student will be able to encourage
others to apply appropriate etiquette in all physical activity settings.

As a result of participating in a quality physical education
