Use Proper Keyboarding Techniques

Indicator 1

The students will demonstrate correct keyboarding posture.

The students will apply touch alphabetic keyboarding skills.

The students will apply touch numeric/symbol keyboarding skills.

Operating Systems

Indicator 1

The students will perform power-up and power-down procedures.

The students will demonstrate use of equipment components (e.g., input, processing, and output devices).

The students will demonstrate use of the operating system (e.g., login, opening software applications, logoff).

The students will demonstrate use of program interface (e.g., menu items, toolbars, dialog boxes).

The students will perform the formatting of diskettes.

The students will evaluate Internet websites and resources,

The students will use informational tools on Internet (e.g., on-line dictionaries, on-line encyclopedias).

Indicator 5

The students will follow rules and procedures of the network or systems used as stated in the student handbook's Computer Usage and Internet Agreement.
