Goal - Keep Quarterbacks BUTT CLEAN!!!

No matter which protection we are using, you must know where the QB will be setting up AND you must maintain contact with your man.

-- On this pass block, the tackles and tight ends will Cut and Scramble, following the rule ON-INSIDE. Tackles can use a "Pop and Chop" technique to get the hands down of the defensive rusher. While the guard and center punch and set up, looking more for linebackers stunts.

-- Pocket Protection -- Hinge block, take a step inside closing the inside gap forcing all defensive players outside. Work all rushers to the outside not allowing them to "turn the corner" to the QB.

-- The frontside of the line is COL (count on line), making sure your butt is to the QB. While the backside is doing a hinge block sealing off the backside. Remember that the Center is always backside.

-- The 300 boot is just like 300's but the backside guard will pull to the frontside. While pulling, he will pass the center and belly out to protect the end by sealing it off with his block. Everyone else is blocking like it is a 300 pass protection.
