December 1st
Monday: National River Park Lab Sessions Day 3. Finish Task 1 Activity. Explore Learning (Reading Topographic Maps) and Task 2; Red Text Questions page 10 and 19.
Tuesday NPR Lab Session Day 4. Task 3 Activity; "Theres no Tour Like a Contour" page 10 in book "Flood".
Wednesday and Thursday : NPR Lab Session Day 5 &6 Task 4 Read pages 11-19 in "Flood" do SQ3R. Then do activity page 20 in "Flood".
Friday; NPR Lab Session Day 6; Take the quiz on Vocab #8. Task 5 open note lab quiz: Handout Topographic Maps
November 24th
Monday: Begin UNit "River National Park".Video "Flood". Form groups, define task and assign roles. Text questions.
Tuesday. Lab Topographic Maps.
November 18th
Tuesday; EDC Day#5 Sketches and Design Plans.
Wednesday: EDC #6 Build Prototypes
Thursday: EDC #7
Friday: EDC #8 Test Prototypes. Turn in your Lab Portfolio for this challenge. Work on LINCS #8 Due Monday at the end of the hour.
November 10th
Monday: Get notes from "Characteristics of Stars". Review extra credit and make-up work links on the 8th grade Science web site.
Tuesday: Engineering Design Challenge Day 1. Begin here
Wednesday: EDC Day#2
Thuursday: EDC Day #3. Get study guide for Post Test #2
Friday :EDC Day#4. Post Test #2
November 3rd
Monday: Chemistry Lab Station #1 Work with your partner from CSI at the same lab station. Follow instructions in 3 ring binder. Get Handout Task #7 questions, Due this Friday!
Tuesday: Lab Station #2 Switch with your partner to the next station in your pod. Example if you are JM1 go to JM2, (JM4 goes to JM1).
Wednesday: Lab Station #3 Switch with your partner to the next station in your pod. Example if you are JM1 go to JM2, (JM4 goes to JM1).
Thursday: Lab Station #2 Switch with your partner to the next station in your pod. Example if you are JM1 go to JM2, (JM4 goes to JM1). Take Quiz on On-Line Quiz (Quizstar) "Chemistry". Use rubric at bottom of page to give your portfolio a grade. Turn in Lab Portfolio to basket by the sink.
Friday: Work on CSI "Clues" Questions.
October 27th
Monday; No School Student/Parent Conferences
Tuesday; Lab Session CSI Day 2
Wednesday; CSI Lab Session Day 3 Turn in Data Sheet and memo with results. Do Lincs#4
Thursday; Lab Session CSI Day 4 Briefing in Learning Center: Notes "Elements Compounds and Mixtures"
Friday; No School Happy Halloween!
October 20th
Monday; Finish Portfolio work for Student/Parent Conferences
Tuesday; Lab Session Day 3 Life of the Stars Do tasks #5 and 6
Wednesday; Quiz LINCS #4, Compile and Turn in Lab Portfolio for Life of the Stars. In text read pages 126-133, do questions 1-3 on page 133.
Thursday; Ketchup Day!!
Friday; Begin Lab Session "CSI at PCMS". Briefing in Learning Center,. Begin Day 1 Lab Session
October 13
Monday no school
Tuesday; Pick up the following sheets;
1. "How am I doing?" Log onto Power School and fill this out. Turn it in when finished
2. LINCS #4 look here (vocabulary) for these words, due tomorrow wed. quiz next wednesday.
Wednesday: Begin Lab Session "The Life of the Stars" View video "On a clear night" Do Task #2 in the Lab.
Thursday: Do Task #3 and #4 in the lab.
Friday: Create Portfolio of work for Parent Teachers Conferences.
August 18th
Monday - Orientation Day 2. Science will be in the lab working on the computers.
Tuesday - Orientation Day 3. Dragon Leadership.
Wednesday - Orientation Day 4. Dragon leadership.
Thursday - Orientation Day 5. Safety in the Lab.
Friday - Orientation Day 6 Safety Day 2.
