It is our philosophy that as coaches and sponsors we have the opportunity to work with and develop a student-athlete TOTALLY. It is an obvious objective to help each student-athlete to be as successful as possible in the activity of their choice. It is our responsibility to help our student-athletes develop their entire self, far beyond their athletic skills. It is our intent and purpose to provide a program whereby individuals have the opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and emotionally. This emphasis upon TOTAL DEVELOPMENT will have a rewarding and lasting effect upon the student-athlete’s life.
TOTAL DEVELOPMENT
PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT- There is no substitute for hard work. A burning desire to be the best and the determination to prepare oneself to be the best are key elements in achieving physical superiority. Every effort will be made to allow each student-athlete the opportunity to fulfill his/her physical potential.
MENTAL DEVELOPMENT- This is an often neglected area of development and it is often the difference between success and lack of success. Through the use of positive attitude and goal setting, the development of a positive self-image and sincere belief in oneself and one’s abilities will be an initial and vital objective.
EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT- Student-athletes have not developed themselves fully and totally until they realize the emotional origin and value of their talents. All student-athletes will be encouraged to develop themselves emotionally.
