PHS Students Receive KS Governor’s Scholars Award

Pittsburg Community Schools USD 250 is proud to recognize three outstanding graduating seniors from the Class of 2026 who have received the prestigious Kansas Governor’s Scholars Award. This honor is awarded to the top one percent of graduating high school seniors across Kansas in recognition of exceptional academic achievement.

Students receiving this distinction are Lauren Crawford, Sophia Hertrich, and Adessah Reed. Their dedication to academic (and Dragon) excellence, leadership, and hard work has earned them recognition among the state’s highest-achieving students.

“We are incredibly proud of Lauren, Sophia, and Adessah for earning recognition as Kansas Governor’s Scholars,” said Kris Crotts, PHS Principal. “They represent the very best of Pittsburg High School, and we look forward to all they will accomplish in the future.”
