USD 250 2022 Bond Passes - Unofficial Results

Pittsburg Community,

On behalf of our schools, the staff, and the children and families we are privileged to serve, thank you for your generous support of USD 250. We have received the unofficial notice that the USD 250 2022 Bond has passed 912 to 222; this is an 81% approval. These results will be certified and made official by the County Board of Canvassers next Tuesday at the commission meeting.

This bond is an investment in Pittsburg Community Middle School and USD 250 that will benefit the Pittsburg community and its youth for generations to come. We are extremely grateful for the community’s endorsement of this measure and our schools. Today Pittsburg said yes to the growth of our community and student pathways, to the historic restorations of this iconic 1921 structure, and to our commitment of no mill increase.

We appreciate the strong levels of community support and pride that have long been a tradition here in Pittsburg and are thankful that the community has once again stepped up to invest in our schools and the students who attend them. We take very seriously the responsibility to be effective stewards of the resources this bond proposition provides and will do everything possible to ensure these projects are delivered in a timely manner, and the community is updated throughout the process.

We consider ourselves fortunate to work in, and for, a community that places a high value on the education of its children, a community willing to invest — in a big way — to ensure the children and young people receive the best education possible. Tomorrow we begin the process of renovating Pittsburg Community Middle School, all made possible by you.

Thank you again for your support and for investing in USD 250 Pittsburg Community Schools.

Sincerely,

Mr. Richard Proffitt
Superintendent of Schools
