USD 250 Celebrates National School Lunch Week

This week USD 250 Pittsburg Community Schools is joining schools across the nation for National School Lunch Week to celebrate the work of our Food Services staff and help raise awareness of the free meal program available to students.

The National School Lunch Program serves nearly 30 million children every school day. USD 250 has six kitchens, one in each school building, employing 24 cooks and six kitchen managers. This hard-working team served 519,365 meals last year. They have served 157,167 meals this school year and are on target to serve approximately 625K by the end of the year.

Each day this week USD 250 is sharing a school lunch photo from one of our buildings and helpful information about #SchoolLunches on our social media channels and website.
