3rd-grade Class Receives Valentines From Across the World

Mr. Thurlo’s 3rd-grade class at Meadowlark Elementary has received Valentines from across the world: nineteen states, Paraguay and Australia.

The project has led to numerous discussions and discoveries about the world around them.

"This has been a very educational, fun as well as motivational project. The outpouring of motivational cards telling us we are kind, amazing, brave, and loved has really made my 3rd graders feel loved and special this February!" - Mr. Thurlo

Because of the cards received, the class has looked at places like the Kennedy Space Center, received stickers from Seattle, Washington, and a postcard from the Mojave desert, that arrived as they read about the Mojave desert in SFA.

The class has been humbled by the generosity of others and wants to extend a thank you to all who participated and helped them learn.
