USD 250 will Participate in National Weather Service Tornado Drill

PITTSBURG, KAN. - USD 250 will Participate in the National Weather Service Tornado Drill on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at 10:00 AM. This drill will be district-wide for all USD 250 Students. 

The City of Pittsburg will join this drill by running an audio test on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. This test will replace the monthly test typically completed on the first Wednesday of each month. No test will be performed on Wednesday, March 4. The statewide test will also be broadcast over NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio and many local television and radio stations. 

Area residents, businesses, and schools are urged to treat the drill as if it were an actual tornado warning. This test is apart of Severe Weather Awareness Week, March 2-6.
