This evening the Board of Education held a special meeting at 6:15 pm to further discuss the Return to School plan approved on Monday evening.
The motion was made by Ed McKechnie to remove the language that students who select the Remote Learning Model “may not participate in extra-curricular or co-curricular that cannot be performed in a remote environment” that was approved on Monday, July 27, with a vote of 4-3.
The motion was seconded by Laura Sullivan and passed with a vote of 5-2.
Moving forward, students who have selected the Remote Learning Model will be able to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. This applies to activities before and after school not classes during the school day.
