All information regarding first day procedures was sent directly to parents from their building. If you did not receive this communication, please contact your building directly to be sure your contact information is correct.

6th Grade & Freshman 

PCMS 6th Grade First Day

  • The front doors will open at 7:10 am. Classes begin at 7:50 am. For the 25th only, 6th grade will all go to the new gym after entering the building.

  • We will dismiss the 6th grade at 11:00 am on the 25th. Buses will run at 11:00 am, and you can pick your child up on the Northside of the building at that same time. Lunch will have been provided prior to dismissal.

PHS 9th Grade First Day (Freshman)

  • First Day for Freshmen - Tuesday, Aug. 25 - 8:00 - 10:30 a.m.

  • ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF must enter through the front doors wearing a mask. They will be temperature scanned before they go into the building.  ALL STUDENTS leaving the building during the day MUST EXIT THROUGH THE FRONT OFFICE.


ALL STUDENTS FIRST DAY

ELEMENTARY ON-SITE LEARNERS

  • Students can arrive between 7:30-8:00 am by parent drop off out front or by the bus drop off. Please note that our front doors will not open until 7:30 am.

  • Teachers will be both inside and outside to help students find their classrooms. 

  • Students must be wearing a mask to enter the building. Students will have their temperature taken upon entering the building.

  • On the first day, students will go directly to their assigned classrooms and meet their teacher and classmates.

  • After the first day, students will go to their designated waiting area where they will sit by class at their individually assigned spots. At 7:50 am teachers will pick up their students and take them to their classrooms to begin preparing for the day.

ELEMENTARY REMOTE LEARNERS

  • Students will have a "Meet the Teacher Zoom Meeting" with their online teacher (Information was emailed with their teacher assignment).

  • Students will use their Classlink card daily to log into their Chromebooks.

  • Students will follow the directions given at technology pickup to log into their Google Classroom daily (this is where their Google Meet link for each day will be).

  • Students will be online each day at assigned times starting at 8:00 AM and will have online class or assignments until 3:15 (Totaling 410 minutes each day).

  • Students will have recess, lunch, and specials time at the same time as those at the building.

  • Students are required to complete their work daily as assigned by their teacher on Google Classroom.


PCMS ON-SITE LEARNERS

  • All students will begin classes on Wednesday the 26th. The doors will open at 7:10 am and classes will begin at 7:50 am. This will be a full day of classes. School will get out at 3:05 pm. 

  • All bus riders will be dropped off on the South side of the school and enter through the breezeway connecting the old building to the new gym. All bus riders will report to the new gym after going through the temperature check-in station. 

  • All students being dropped off, walking, or riding a bike will enter through the main office doors on the North side of the building. Drop off, walking, and bike riding students will report to the old gym after going through the temperature check-in station. Students will remain in these areas until they are released to go to class at 7:45 am. 

  • Breakfast will be available at both locations. Students who ride the bus will exit the building on the South side of the school at 3:05 pm. Students who are being picked up, walking, or riding a bike will exit out the North side of the building at that same time.

PCMS REMOTE LEARNERS

  • If you have not already picked up Remote Learning Materials on Tuesday, August 25, 1:00-3:00 *This does not include technology

  • Remote Learners were mailed a packet with the information needed to start their first day. If you are a remote-learner and you did not receive your packet please contact PCMS directly.


PHS ON-SITE LEARNERS

  • First Day for ALL STUDENTS - Wednesday, Aug. 26 - Front doors open at 7:30 a.m. ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF must enter through the front doors wearing a mask. They will be temperature scanned before they go into the building. ALL STUDENTS leaving the building during the day MUST EXIT THROUGH THE FRONT OFFICE.

  • There will be 3 lunch periods each school day (see PHS Bell Schedule lunch times) No outside food deliveries from businesses or from parents will be allowed. Please plan ahead.

PHS REMOTE LEARNERS

  • The first day of school for all Remote Learners is Wednesday, Aug. 26. The school day for Remote Learners is the same schedule they would have in the seated environment. Your schedule can be located in PowerSchool.

  • More detailed information for Remote Learners was sent out via email today, Monday, Aug. 24.
