USD 250 NAMES NEW PHS HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

On March 7, 2021, the USD 250 Board of Education approved Josh Lattimer as the new Head Football Coach at Pittsburg High School. Lattimer is currently the PHS Strength and Conditioning coach and will continue in this role and his new coaching position.

"I would like to welcome Coach Lattimer, Nicole, Jeremiah, Jack, and Natalie to the Pittsburg High School football program. There is no doubt that he will lead our program to continued success both on and off the field. His passion for the game, our student/athletes, our school, and our community is very impressive." says Jeff Staley, PHS Athletic Director.

Josh Lattimer came to PHS in May of 2021 with fifteen years of coaching experience. As an alumnus of Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of General Studies with Emphasis in Physical Education and numerous accomplishments both as a coach and in his career as a college athlete.

"WE, my family and I, are extremely excited and humbly honored to be in this position in such a prestigious program. The players, coaches, community, and Dragon Nation will get OUR best effort day in and day out. The best is ahead!" says Coach Lattimer when asked about his new role.

Coach Lattimer will assume his new duties effective July 1.
