DRAGON CHROMEBOOKS

USD 250 is excited to become a 1:1 district. This means every student will have a Chromebook provided by the district.

Students/families have selected one of two learning models for the 2020-2021 year; Onsite Learning or Remote Learning. The list below explains more details of how 1:1 Chromebooks will work based on your learning model and your student's grade level.

ELEMENTARY REMOTE LEARNING STUDENTS

  • Elementary Remote Learners will pick-up their device during their assessment appointment with their building. Buildings will contact parents/guardians directly to set up this appointment time.
  • A technology fee will be collected in order for students to take devices home. This fee should be considered the same as a textbook fee, it is an annual fee and can be matched to each family’s free and reduced status.
  • All students and parents/guardians must sign a Device Loan Agreement and a Student Acceptable Use Policy Agreement. This agreement will remain in the student’s file and parents/guardians may request a copy for their records.

ELEMENTARY ON-SITE LEARNERS

  • Devices will remain in classrooms for all elementary On-Site Learners.
  • A fee will not be collected for Elementary On-Site Learners.
  • All students and parents/guardians must sign a Device Loan Agreement and a Student Acceptable Use Policy Agreement. This agreement will remain in the student’s file and parents/guardians may request a copy for their records.

PCMS & PHS REMOTE LEARNERS

  • Devices will only be available to middle and high school students who have completed their online enrollment.
  • Remote Learning students may opt-out of using a district-issued device. We do encourage our remote learners to consider using a district device as we can be more helpful with technical assistance and any issues they may have.

PCMS & PHS ON-SITE LEARNERS

  • Each student will be assigned a device.
  • On-Site students may opt-out of taking a district-issued device home, however, they will use district-provided devices in the classroom.
  • Students may NOT bring personal devices into the buildings for On-Site Learning.
