USD 250 Pittsburg Community Schools
5/25/21 COVID-19 District Update
At the recommendation of the Crawford County Health Department, the USD 250 Board of Education moved to lift the mask requirements for students, staff, and visitors effective immediately. This decision was made with an emphasis that students, staff, and visitors continue to monitor their symptoms and should not enter a USD 250 facility or attend events including outdoors if they are exhibiting symptoms.
Summer school and summer activities will not be required to wear masks. Students and staff will continue with other COVID-19 mitigation and procedures. Plans for the beginning of the 2021-22 school year will be brought before the board at a future date. Any decision made at that time will reflect the current health climate and will be at the recommendation of local health officials.
The health and safety of our students and staff will continue to be our priority. We want to thank our incredible staff and students for navigating a challenging year with great success, our dragon families for their continued understanding, and our community for taking the steps necessary to bring us all to this point together.
